About Arika

Hello! I am originally from California but have been living in Philly for the past three years! I currently hold a part time job, and will be starting school in the fall! I have always appreciated the perspective and lightness that children bring to the world, and I think because of that spending time with younger people has always felt fun and effortless! When it comes to childcare, i've only been formally involved in it for less than a year. I volunteered at a school for a couple of months for their after school program, and through that I started babysitting an 8-year-old from time to time! Recently i've also joined a childcare collective that provides care for activist organizations! Another thing to note, I currently do not have a drivers license but I am comfortable walking, taking public transit and bike riding! I'd describe my personality as bubbly and compassionate and adventurous !
