I am a Native (Haida and Makah) college student currently saving up to move out and have always loved working with kids. My family calls me a natural caretaker and I grew up always watching out my elders and cousins and ensuring everyone in my life is cared for. I grew up taking care of my younger cousins who are infant age to teens now. I was a former daycare assistant at Daybreak Star Preschool but I sadly had to leave for school. This job taught me a lot about childcare and communication to improve a child's social and emotional skills as well as my own. I got to create a fun and positive environment for my 10 3-5-year-old students while also watching them grow up and also worked in aftercare where our elementary school students would join us.
