I have worked as an on-the-job training med tech. I was also a CNA for 5 years. I completed the Occupational Therapy Assistant program at Cape Fear Community College. I am now a certified occupational therapy assistant and licensed. I worked in a long-term skilled nursing facility while attending college. I have cared for numerous types of disabilities and also patients with Alzheimer's disease. My heart lies in caring for the elderly. I love and respect my elders and have found their wisdom to greatly influence me. I have also done private home care that included cooking, cleaning, errands, medication reminders and bathing. I am also CPR certified. I do smoke but not while I am working.
