About Angelica

I am an undergraduate student at Columbia University. Although I do not have paid tutoring experience, I had the honor of working as a teacher this past summer. I taught 8th grade ELA during a summer enrichment program. I received in depth training before the program began to equip me with the tools necessary to teach young people, and be a positive force in their lives. I am passionate about helping children and providing equitable access to good education for all. I am CPR Certified I'd describe my personality as empathetic, caring, and patient. I like tutoring because it provides an opportunity for students to get more individualized instruction and support that is catered to their specific needs. Many students need more than the typical classroom format and tutoring helps students to learn in a judgment free and supportive environment. I'm looking for a job that allows me to exercise my passion for helping young people and providing support to kids who need it the most.
