About Amy

Hi there! I graduated from UConn in 2013 with a Bachelors and Masters degree in special education. I have 20 years of babysitting experience and have also worked as a camp counselor. I am a special education teacher with 11 years experience. I currently teach special education at the high school level. My previous teaching experience is with students grades K-2 with a variety of disabilities including Autism, Learning Disabilities, Intellectual Disabilities and ADHD. I absolutely love teaching math, foundational reading skills, social skills, and strategies to support executive functioning. I spend my free time with my 5-year-old nephew/2-year-old niece, reading, and going for hikes with my husband. I am also a big animal lover! I have a 2-year-old pug named Winnie.
