I stated out just going to see someone once a week to help her through her husbands passing but it quickly turned into so much more. My church assigned me, a 76-year-old recent widow, just to listen and help her grieving process. Then she asked if she could pay me to come back and clean her house once a week and I agreed to that. Eventually I was there 3 times a week helping her pay bills, run errands and meal prep her meals for the week. Then after 2 years her health was deteriorating so I helped her arrange to move to California to be closer to her son and live in an assisted living environment. I even packed her house for her and moved it to CA and helped her move in to her place.
