Would recommend the following that I did not do: review the job description clearly and have a detailed written agreement about all tasks, schedule of frequency of tasks and expectations regarding companionship i.e. what exactly engaging with your client means. Have frequent meetings if you are not present in the home (or get a camera). A patient who likes a lot of quiet time is served best. She is a team player and its very helpful that she has a car.
