Amelia "Millie" is great with my 83 yr old mom with early Dementia. She did a trial few ours with my mom. My mom is very independent and it was hard convincing her that she someone there a few hours to remind her of some daily task. My mom is VERY private and doesn't like anyone " invading her space" as she calls it. She accepted Millie right away. She felt very comfortable. When she told me she let Millie put her Endure/Boost in the pantry I was shocked Then when my mom told me Millie washed, separated and bagged the chicken I purchased I was double Shocked. My mom Dr and I have been trying to get my mom on a schedule to take BP and glucose first thing to no avail. Millie suggested it and helped my mom with her new glucose meter and mom has been doing it as Millie suggested Go figure! Even the day Millie wasn't scheduled to go to my mom she called her at 9am to make sure she was up to take meds and daily BP and glucose test.
