About Amber

I pride myself in holding healthy boundaries but still making time for structured fun with youth. Hobbies I like to share with youth I work with include: arts/crafts, teaching the basics of music theory, playing sports, and encouraging the outdoors. I have worked in residential settings and taught life skills to youth aged 14-18 as well as currently work with students who are behaviorally challenged and have disabilities that impact their social and/or academic skills. One of my favorite things about working with youth is watching them grow and learn by identifying stressors and effectively implementing coping mechanisms. In addition to being CPR/First Aid certified, I have a food handler's card, am familiar with IEPs, am bilingual in English and Spanish, and have Life Space Crisis Intervention training.
