About Amanda

I am currently a stay at home mom of two great kids: a daughter age 14 and a son age 11. I always loved caring for children and did so starting at the age of 12. I was a full time nanny in the summers from age 14 until I graduated college in 2003. After graduating with my masters of social work in 2004, I worked as a social worker for the State of NJ's child protection agency. I worked at the state's child abuse and neglect hotline where I spent 10 years fielding phone calls of suspected child abuse and/or neglect. I then resigned to raise my children and shortly after that relocated to GA from PA for my husband's job. Now that my kids are older, I'm excited to re-enter the work force doing something I LOVE doing, caring for children. Both of my kids went to daycare before I resigned from my social work job so I understand how important quality childcare is and strive to provide that for you! I am CPR/AED/First aid certified. I also have a dog so I'm very comfortable with pets!
