About Amanda

Hello! My name is Amanda. I want to start by thanking you for taking the time to read my profile. It is very important that we get to know one another in order to provide the best long-term care for your child. My relationship with children started as most do, taking care of my two younger brothers. As I grew up and became more responsible, I took a babysitting job caring for foster children. I would find myself going to their house and taking the little girl to the park even though I wasn't being paid. I knew then that I had found something I loved -- taking care of children. After becoming an adult and doing the 9 to 5, I was offered a nannying job looking after a little boy who had just turned one. I jumped at the opportunity! That was over 5 years ago. I stayed with the family after the birth of daughter, working 9 hours per day doing everything their mother would. Making bottles, giving baths, meal prep, laundry, dressing them, taking them to the parks, museum and reading books. Then as all kids do, they grew up and attended preschool but we have stayed in contact. I've since moved to NJ and worked for a family of 3 children ranging from 3 months to 8 years of age. Both parents worked from home so I became a mother's helper doing anything to help make her life easier. As time past, their needs grew and I was unable to provide them with more hours so I was let go but was given a wonderful reference on this page.
