About Amanda

Hi! I am currently a senior at Ithaca College, and I major in Psychology and double minor in Counseling and Art. I am studying to become a licensed mental health professional for young children. I have been working with children since I was 14 years old, and I absolutely love it. When I was in high school, I was a babysitter for several years and an ice skating coach. While at school in New York, I teach dance and figure skating lessons to kids of all ages in the Ithaca community through Cass Park and the Ithaca Youth Bureau. I have also been a camp counselor for 5 summers at 3 different camps (Camp Pembroke, Camp Wediko, and a YMCA Camp). The camp I worked at most recently was a residential therapeutic program for children with severe emotional, behavioral, and social challenges. I am also CPR, First-Aid, and CPI certified. I am looking for a short-term nannying or babysitting position while I'm in Ithaca for the semester. Please let me know if you're interested!
