About Amanda

Hi! My name is Amanda and I am 31 years old. I have been working with children for all of my adult life. For the past five years I was the full time child caretaker for a family with three children. I started working part time when the oldest was 18 months old, and a year later I transitioned to working full time when the twins were born. I worked closely with the twins as their caretaker and I was able to gain invaluable knowledge and experience working with them until they turned 5 years old. My infant experience includes bottle feeding, tummy time, diaper changing, wearing babies in a wrap/carrier, swaddling, supporting in visits with doctors, lactation nurses, doulas, etc., managing nap and feeding schedules, and of course, learning how to play! I feel extremely comfortable with infants and working with families currently deep in the postpartum world. As a certified doula, I can provide support to the mother via cleaning, light cooking, and running errands as well.
