About Amanda

Hello! My name is Mandee, I am an aspiring music teacher, and I currently work as a substitute teacher in the city of Virginia Beach. I also babysit and pet-sit for a few close friends on occasion, however, I am looking for something that with more regular hours and pay for the summer. I love working and playing with little ones and watching them grow! To me, babysitting and pet-sitting are more like playtime than work. I do not have any children of my own (some day), but I have experience working with children ages 0 months to 11 years. I also have experience with potty-training and cleaning up messes. I am CPR/First Aid certified. I like to keep a clean house and don't mind doing a few light chores. When it comes to discipline, I like to give children the opportunity to redirect their behaviors before doling out punishments. I will count backwards from 5, reminding the child that if I reach 1 he or she will have to go to timeout for a certain number of minutes (as per age).
