I had the pleasure of caring for my aging mother, a dear client in her late 90's and my last client who had a traumatic brain injury. My mother had dementia, lung disease and was a cancer survivor. My 98-year-old client lived at home and required daily 12 hour care and for my last client, I ensured her household was run smoothly, along with her care. Their care plan included daily hygiene, medication management, doctor appointments, meal preparation, laundry, and companionship. I found it very important to keep my clients engaged by talking with them, listening to their stories and doing things that they enjoyed, such as playing cards, doing puzzles, and listening to the music. I'm certified in Healthcare BLS CPR which includes defibrillator usage and first aid (adult, child & infant). In addition, I have completed the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program. I am a very caring and compassionate person and would love the opportunity to help care for your loved one.
