About Amanda

Hi! My name is Ms. Amanda to most. Even my friends and family call me that. I knew I wanted to take care of young children for as long as I can remember. I use to help take care of my 4 younger siblings and help my mom with her in home childcare during the afternoons and summers. As soon as I turned 18 I got a job with Toddlers at a small house turned into a childcare center. That was in October of 1995! Over the last 28 years I have taught almost exclusively infants and young toddlers in different settings. Infants learn through their senses. I do lots of sensory projects that include all of their senses. I love reading books and singing songs. Kids love hearing their own name in songs so I make up or change up songs to include their names. I can't wait to meet my new family! I have tons of references. I live off W. Saint Elmo and South First. Prefer to work within 10 miles of there.
