About Amanda

I'd describe my personality as compassionate, determined, and patient. Through Orton-Gillingham tutoring I have the opportunity to share my love of reading with young learners and help them expand their minds and imaginations. I believe the possibilities that reading offers to enrich our lives are limitless. I'm looking for a job that offers a flexible schedule. I started tutoring when I was in high school! In my spare time, I like to spend as much time as possible with my family and friends! I am a very social person! I also love to workout, and I enjoy walking my two dogs, Pecan and Mason. I believe school is already long and exhausting for kids, so when I come in to tutor your learners, I promise to be as efficient as possible with my lessons. This is one of the reasons I believe in the Orton-Gillingham method. It is clear, concise, and proven to be effective.
