About Amanda

I have experience teaching special needs elementary and preschool students (ASD, InD, EBD, SLD, nonverbal/language-impaired, and epileptic to name a few). I work almost exclusively 1:1 with students. I am familiar with the TouchChat software used for nonverbal and language-impaired students. I am trained and certified to work with severely handicapped individuals, ranging from physically, mentally, and emotionally handicapped. My certifications also include Youth Mental Health First Aid, and Crisis Prevention Intervention. I am a single mom of four children, ages 11|13|16|18. I have two special needs children, with some years of experience in homeschooling them during their elementary years. I am an intermediate Spanish learner (concluding my second year). I love helping people and I look forward to meeting you!
