Hello, My name is Amanda. I am 35, and live in Oak Forest. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my husband and our fur babies. My favorite hobby is theater. I love acting, singing, dancing. I'm also working on finishing my teaching degree. I have been a nanny on and off for 17 years, but consistently for the last 10 years. In 10 years I have only had 2 different families. The current family I work for I have been with for 8 years. I have helped raise their son and daughter, but they are older now and no longer need my services so it's time to move on. I have experience with children of all ages from infant to teen. I have also worked with special needs children. I am first aid and CPR trained. My passion is children. I absolutely adore seeing the way they look at the world. I believe in maintaining a balance between imaginative and physical play, I think it is essential to a child's learning. Amanda has been the full-time nanny for our 2.5 year old daughter since she was 4 months old. We are extremely happy with Amanda and the care she gives to our little girl. In fact, we often turn to Amanda for her expertise in child care when we are encountering new stages with our daughter and she has always helped us choose the right course of care. Amanda is very loving, compassionate, empathetic and knowledgeable on child rearing. She is extraordinarily patient and always comes up with good ways to work through difficult issues like tantrums or discipline. I highly recommend Amanda to care for children of any age!
