Hello! My name is Alyssa and I've been caring for children for as long as I can remember. I'm the oldest of 3 and of all my cousins so I've always gravitated towards caregiving. I started babysitting in high school and was then able to nanny part time for the same families throughout my time in college and even post-grad. A bit about me - I recently moved from Los Angeles to Chicago and have been loving it so far! I am CPR/First Aid Certified and have experience carrying for newborns all the way up to pre-teens. I also have great experience with children on the spectrum as well as those diagnosed with ADHD. I like to meet kids where they're at and allow them space to trust me. I'm all about collaboration and communication, meaning if there is a particular parenting style you operate in, or there are behaviors/milestones you're working towards with your child, I like to help and support in any way that I can. Alyssa was a significant part of our family for years with both of my girls. We first started working with her when my first daughter was 3, and continued working with her all the way until our second daughter was 2 (and older daughter 6). Alyssa was always super savvy with my crafty kids! Her energy with them was fun and bubbly, while grounded and calm, which created a secure environment for them. She was consistently aligned with our parenting approach. Alyssa was so good to communicate with us whenever any challenging moments came up with the kids, and we'd work together to navigate those phases the kids were in. We 100% trusted Alyssa (and still do). My daughters had so much respect for Alyssa--they miss her dearly and ask about her often!
