About Alyssa

I'd describe my personality as driven, ambitious, and self disciplined. I like tutoring because it gives me an opportunity to share my knowledge and aid in the growth of students who may be struggling. I'm looking for a job that I enjoy, includes helping others succeed, as well as a job that I'm able to experience and see direct results in the service that I'm providing. I started tutoring unofficially when I was in 8th grade, staying after school to help other students with their homework. I started tutoring officially when I was 17, and a junior in high school tutoring children of family friends who were in the middle school age group. In my spare time, I like to read, do puzzles, journal, spend time with family, and educate myself on current topics. One thing you should know about me is I am very determined to help their children with developing the skills necessary to excel in their academics. My skills include mathematics, English, as well as biology, and chemistry.
