I've worked with a variety of special needs kiddos. At 16, I was a camp counselor/assistant for kiddos who would come for the day for several weeks of the summer to give them the experience of fun camp activities that were modified for various disabilities, and to give their parents a respite. And as a high-school senior/adult I did 3 years working through my church in classroom, youth group, and Sat evening childcare settings.. with multiple different ages and disabilities. Those were some of the most rewarding experiences I've ever had.
