About Allison

I'm a certificated English teacher experienced teaching grades 6-12 including: Honors, International Baccalaureate (IB), Advanced Placement (AP) English, ESOL, Sp. Ed., and AP Capstone Research and Seminar courses. I am also trained, certified, and experienced teaching college English Composition and Grammar. In addition to my teaching experience in grades 6-12, I possess multiple Advanced Placement training certificates, a Masters in Education, College Board AP grading certification, and a graduate teaching certificate for teaching English including to adult learners. I also work as a district coach for supporting and improving newly hired educators. My goal is to help your student not only learn the course material they're struggling with, but to learn strong reading, writing, and academic organization skills simultaneously to increase their confidence and sharpen their abilities to succeed more independently in the future.
