Hello! I'm a mom with 2 school aged children and an 18-month-old. I grew up with an in home daycare in my home that my mom ran, consistently babysat since I was 12, had nanny jobs from 18-22, ran an in home daycare of my own for 3 years, and am now looking to get back into child care. Kids are my passion! I have an associates in Early Childhood education, and may pursue that once my youngest is older. Right now I'm looking to fill my days while I take care of my little one as well. I can come to your home or stay in mine. I am located in Orion, IL. My kids and I love to be outside. Going on walks and playing at the park is our favorite. When we have to be inside I try to fill our days with puzzles, crafts, kinetic sand, sensory bins, forts, books, etc.! My whole downstairs is a play room filled with a play kitchen, foam pieces for imaginative play, ball pit, life size blocks, mini trampoline and the list goes on and on. I'm flexible on days and times! Thanks!

Lexie has been caregiver to our kiddo, from the time he was 9 months old. He warmed up to her right away, and that really made it feel like he was part of the decision making process as well. We loved her right away, and our kiddo did, too. What started as a search for the right babysitter for our son (at the tail end of Covid mayhem) turned into finding a person we absolutely trust with not just his care, but also with his creativity, education, and shaping him into the kind and sweet kid he is. He has become such a kind, generous, and all-around tons of fun kid, and we believe so much of that is from Lexie and her family’s influence on his upbringing. “Babysitter” is the wrong title for who she is to him- she’s a caregiver. Emphasis on the care. You would be hard-pressed to find someone better suited to giving kids a home away from home. Every day our son comes home so happy and excited about his day. He tells us all about it, which is difficult for a 2.5 year old, but we truly believe he just wants to express how good of a day he had. From Library excursions to trips to the park; from good food to being kind of a Jedi-master at naptime; from frequent dance parties to arts and crafts time (our fridge has literally no space left on it from all the cool art she has sent home); every day they do something fun and engaging. Lexie has given our son a quality of care that I can’t recommend enough. You will, of course, get updates and pictures and videos of what your kiddo is up to (she’s really great about that), but you will also get peace of mind that your kid is getting the actual best possible care. If you’re considering Lexie to watch your child, you should probably stop considering anyone else. She’s an excellent caregiver and an all-around excellent person. Seriously. She’s the right choice. Best, M. W. & A. W.

I took a babysitting/CPR class when I was about 16 and had to re-certify that for my job. I also was a girl scout so I learned a lot of first aid training from that.
