About Alexis

I enjoy engaging learners through nature walks, crafts, and music. I am very timely and structured; however, I understand the need for flexibility when it comes to children. I am also a strong believer of using positive reinforcement when children make appropriate choices. I taught for the Department of Defense of Education for Europe East in Germany to military children for 5 years whose families were stationed there. While my husband was stationed there, the first year I was a Special Needs Paraprofessional for K-3rd grade. Afterwards, I taught kindergarten for 3 years and then I taught first grade before I moved back to Georgia after his contract ended March 10, 2020. I attended Chattahoochee Technical College for my Associate's Degree in Birth-Age 8 from 2009-2011 and I completed my Bachelor's Degree at Kennesaw State in Early Childhood Education from 2011-2014. I have a reading endorsement and I'm certified to teach PreK-5th grade in the state of Georgia and PreK-6th for DODEA.
