About Alexis

My name is Alexis, I am 23 years old and passionate about giving a voice to children. Previously, I attended the University of Arizona for three years, earning summa cum laude for completing a B. A. in Psychology with two minors in Spanish and criminology. I also graduated with distinction for my M. S. in forensic psychology from Arizona State University. More importantly, I have over seven years of experience with children of all ages. I began babysitting when I was 15, then worked at daycare's and after-school care. I have also been a respite and habilitation care provider for children with disabilities, specifically those with Down syndrome. With this role, I earned an Adult, Child, Infant CPR, AED, First Aid Certified, and a level one fingerprint clearance card. Throughout my professional childcare history, I believe in accepting all emotions, though not all behaviors, which I reinforce through structured learning.
