About Alexandria

Hello! I know finding childcare for disabled and special needs children can be difficult, my goal is to help you feel confident about choosing a qualified and safe person to meet your families needs! My degree is in communication sciences and disorders (speech pathology) and I am a certified special education teacher with over 15 years experience working with children with special needs. I have worked as a special education teacher for 8 years and have experience with autism, intellectual disabilities, medical needs and behavioral challenges. I have experience with newborn babies - 8th grade. I love encouraging kids to engage in imaginative play, teaching real life skills like cooking, and spending time in nature! I am happy to help with light housework, errands, pets and discuss tutoring. In my free time I enjoy traveling with my husband, walking my dog, making stained glass, and reading.
