About Alexandra

I have been tutoring for over 10 years. I tutored fellow classmates while in college, and continued to tutor when I babysat local students. I also work with my students one-on-one after school, to provide a more individualized approach that sometimes gets lost in a large classroom. I am very well-versed in the many learning styles children have; I also have extensive experience working with students who have I. E. P.'s. I am a certified teacher in two states (NY and NJ); I am certified in Social Studies; however, due to the many ELA requirements attached to Social Studies, I am well experienced in teaching ELA skills that correspond to Common Core standards.
