Alexa worked with us for the first year my parents lived with us, following some major health issues. She cared for them during their transition between independent and inter generational living with our family. She was just who we needed for that year to support us to be able to continue working - first away from home, then with the advent of Covid 19, from our home. She managed our kitchen and prepared meals including food prep which allowed us to make healthy dinners. Her duties included guiding and cuing my dad to get dressed and get downstairs each day. She served breakfast, lunch and did light housekeeping. She maintained their living area: washed bedding, cleaned their bathroom, and did their laundry. She drove my mom to PT and hair appointments weekly. While Alexa functioned mostly "hands off," she did take daily vitals for my dad including weight, blood pressure, blood sugar test, and assisted with daily insulin injections. She interacted well with them, and they enjoyed her.
