About Alexandra

I graduated from the University of Iowa a few years ago with degrees in Speech Pathology and Linguistics. I have nannied and babysat since I was a teenager, maintaining those kind of jobs throughout college to earn some money. I have volunteered for a couple of organizations involving children with special needs. My younger sister is severely autistic and I cared for her growing up as well. I recently traveled to Australia to be a live-in Au pair with a family and work in a speech pathology clinic. My plan was to take a year off and then go to grad school. However, when I was overseas I got a great job offer at back in the US and decided to give it a try. I am now employed full-time at Black & Veatch in Overland Park. I love my job now, but I find myself missing my little kids! I have CPR and First Aid training. I have a special love for babies, but do well with kids of all ages.
