About Alessia

Hi there! I'm Alessia, an undergraduate student at Rollins College in their Honors Program. I have about three and a half years total of tutoring experience. During the pandemic, I had a paid tutoring job helping a middle schooler improve her grades in Algebra. Later, during my final two years of high school, I was a volunteer tutor with the National Honor Society in math, English, and music. Last fall, during my freshman year of college, I was a volunteer English language-competency tutor on Friday mornings at Brookshire Elementary School while taking a course called The Future of Public Schools in America, which had a community engagement component. I have a lot of experience working with kids and work hard to build their confidence as they learn and grow, showing them that they're capable of anything. I've been a summer camp counselor for the past 6 years and worked as an intern at community theaters during their youth productions.
