As a dedicated caregiver, I have a passion for helping others and providing compassionate care to those in need. My journey in caregiving began in 2013, when my great grandmother was sent to Cold Spring Hills Rehabilitation after experiencing complications from pancreatic surgery. It was a challenging time for my family, as she suffered two strokes that left her unable to speak and bedridden. During my senior year of high school, I made the decision to spend my afternoons with my great grandmother, providing her with the care and companionship she needed. I made sure to visit her every day after school, and took on the role of her caregiver with love and dedication. Ihelped her with daily tasks, fed her, played her favorite music, and even taught her basic sign language to help her communicate.
