About Akiyah

I'd describe my personality as silly, patient, and accepting I like working with kids because I'm very patient and fun and it brings me a lot of joy spreading joy to the future generations. I've wanted to be a teacher my whole life, and am actively working towards that goal, so experiences like these help me feel like I'm achieving that goal while helping others as well. I'm looking for a job that respects my very flexible time. I started working with kids when I was 14 or 15. It started off with babysitting family friends children, and helping my old teacher's students with homework and studying when I had extra time. In my spare time, I like to crochet, craft, and study Portuguese and French. One thing you should know about me is I have a sister and many friends with autism, so I have a strong passion for disability acceptance and equality. Not just with autism, but all disabilities, visual or invisible. My skills include compassion, communication, and decision making
