I wake up in the morning and spend my day looking forward to sharing my knowledge with a student looking for extra help. That student will greatly benefit from my various rewards and educational background. I am a graduate from Temple University with a bachelor's of arts and a certificate within the specialization of writing. This specialization focused extensively within the English language, writing, peer review and working with students to improve their writing abilities. My degree focuses upon Political Science with heavy emphasis in U. S. History. I am a published writer, the receipt of two essay contest awards, a History award and a Mathematics award. I am actively seeking students who will benefit from my services. I have tutored children and adults of all ages. During my sessions with an 8-year-old and a 10-year-old student I was able to help them fall in love with learning as I incorporated creative games and fun activities to spark their interest. The most rewarding accomplishment was my ability to improve their scores by 1-2 letter grades. I believe having the experience and background working with children is a very important aspect of tutoring. Understanding children and their ability to absorb and retain information are areas I specialize within. Learning does not have to be a chore it will be a fun and rewarding experience when taught by me. In addition to tutoring, I used to volunteer at my local community center to help educate and entertain children. Currently I am enrolled in Martial Arts and as a requirement for receiving my black belt we are to assist and teach in class. I teach the younger children in different areas of the art to help them better their performance. I am available to assist students within all major subject areas. Also, I have the ability to tutor adults within some college subjects as well as navigating the computer, internet and social media.
