About Ahava

I am an elementary school teacher who loves working with kids! I have been a 1st-grade teacher at a charter-school the last 2 years. Before then, I substituted in various elementary schools across the city for a year, while I completed a teaching credential program through CalState. I completed my undergrad at Florida State University, where I received a bachelor's in Advertising. After graduating, I pivoted towards education. I had worked as a nanny and tutor all throughout college and high school, so the switch felt right. Since then, I have loved my time in the classroom. I am kind, self-motivated, energetic, with a passion for elementary education. In the classroom I am committed to fostering socio-emotionally healthy environments where students can thrive. I implement inquiry-based learning and prioritizerelationship building to cultivate lifelong learners and empower future change-makers. I am ideally looking for a position until the end of the school year or even summer! (:
