About Abigail

I'd describe my personality as calming, patient, and creative. I like working with kids because they make me smile!! There's nothing quite like watching a child grow up and seeing their personality start to form. I'm looking for a summer job. I'd like to keep my nights free, and maybe avoid super early mornings. I'm open to all different ages, although I have the most experience with children under 4. I've been babysitting for family and neighbors since I was 8. I was heavily involved in the care of my little sister since she was born. I have been working at a daycare for 8 months. Right now I am the lead teacher in the 3-year-old room. I teach them lessons, do crafts, outdoor activities and field trips. In my spare time, I like to play ultimate frisbee, hang out with friends, and watch movies with my little sister. My skills include dealing with lots of toddler meltdowns, newborn baby care, and teaching age-appropriate lessons.
