About Abigail

I first started working in childcare as a mothers helper with 2 neighborhood kids when I was 12 years old. The girls were 2 years old and 6 months old. They are now 9 and 7 and I have continued to babysit them for the past 7 years. Through connections such as the community pool, as well as parent communication, I began to babysit for many families throughout my home town. I was also a swim coach for 3-10-year-olds for a private swim company as well as the community pool. Additionally, I volunteered at my church as a vacation bible school group leader for young children. Currently, I am a childcare worker at the First Baptist Church of Wilmington. When working with kids, I believe that the best way to connect with them is to get on their level by playing with them, talking to them, and understanding them.
