I was born and raised in the District of San Francisco, and I grew up around kids all my life. My mother ran a daycare center out of the house. When I was old enough, I would help out, and I would often babysit and nanny on the side. I have a Bachelor's degree in Sociology from the University of California Riverside. While at UC Riverside, I helped tutor kids, and I also ran track and cross country. I have worked at an after school program through the YMCA where I was the program leader for 20 3rd graders. I learned how to create lesson plans that kept the students both engaged and safe. My experience is occasionally babysitting for the last 10 years, along with tutoring, coaching soccer, and working as a Program Leader though the YMCA. I am looking for part-time (possibly full-time) nannying positions for the spring/ summer.

Katy was a great nanny and we are grateful we got to have her for few weeks. I would have kept her if we weren't moving but I highly recommend Katy. She was very active, focused on E. the whole morning and tried to do various activities with E. so that she doesn't get bored in the house. Due to covid, we had limited availability to play outside, but Katy managed to get her some outdoor time with playing with sand, drawing on the road, bubbles etc. She also encourage E. to learn writing alphabets and numbers, shapes. She was always on time and as I was working at home, I could hear she is actively engaged with my daughter the whole time. I would hire her again if we go and stay in SF and need help. Highly recommend her! Thanks Katy for being a great nanny!

Science And Language Loving Tutor/caregiver

Hi! I'm Neal, a recent college grad with experience in linguistics, foreign languages, biology, and engineering who loves teaching children about the world around them. In the past, I've worked as a camp counselor at the Delaware Aerospace Academy and as a tutor and caregiver for elementary- and middle-school aged kids. I love learning new things and inspiring a love of learning in the younger generation. I'll bring interesting facts and new findings to my lessons, incorporating my love of languages, nature, reading, and beyond! I am passionate about creating a safe, fun, and interesting environment in which your little ones can learn.

I first met Neal in the spring of 2017. He was an undergraduate student at Haverford College and a close personal friend of my niece, who was studying at Haverford at the time. Neal became a regular fixture in our lives, and I often enlisted his help in entertaining my 2 children, Eleanor (13) and Silas (10). He has a strong rapport with children and the kids found him interesting and engaging. He was never short on energy or ideas, and the kids enjoyed every adventure they had together. Based on Neal's unique ability to interest and engage my son, we also enlisted his help with tutoring in various subjects. Over the years, my family and I came to know Neal extremely well and I cannot recommend him highly enough . He is an extremely smart, engaging, and adaptable person of strong character. I have absolutely no doubts about his extraordinary personal attributes and potential to mold and guide young people in any capacity.
