Footsteps Child Care, in partnership with the City of Belmont Parks and Recreation, is excited to offer nine weeks of summer camp designed specifically for older children and youth entering fourth grade through middle school. This summer, we are thrilled to feature specialized classes provided by Lando, including Advanced LEGO Robotics and Clay Studio Lab. In the afternoon campers can participate in a group cooking project. TUESDAY features morning hikes through local trails followed by recreational swimming at the Carlmont High School pool. WEDNESDAY is field trip day, with exciting excursions designed for adventure and exploration. Campers will experience thrilling attractions, water activities, outdoor adventures, and even an overnight camping experience! Each trip offers opportunities to build friendships, try new activities, and create unforgettable summer memories. THURSDAY offers flexible morning time for activities and games, along with a trip to the Belmont Library, followed by recreational swim time in the afternoon. FRIDAY wraps up each week with special events, community service projects, or Counselors-In-Training opportunities. From 2pm to 4pm, campers can also join Clay Studio Lab, where they will create gallery-ready, multi-module scenes using internal armatures, balanced bases, and clean joins. Welcome to Racquets & Swim New this summer we are expanding racquet sports to include pickle ball, badminton, and table tennis. Footsteps Child Care, in partnership with the City of Belmont, and support from the USTA NorCal, will again offers the H.I.T.S. tennis program. This program combines the challenge and fun of playing tennis with the educational and character-building aspects of team sports in a cooperative team environment to foster sportsmanship, integrity, camaraderie, responsibility, positive self-esteem, and social skills. All participants receive an H.I.T.S. T-shirt, certificate, players/parents manual, and more!

Sharks Swim Camp combines professional swim instruction with all the fun of traditional summer camp, creating the perfect blend of skill-building and adventure for children entering grades 2-5. What Makes Us Special: Each day at Sharks Swim is designed to build water confidence while creating lasting summer memories. Mornings begin with check-in, warm-up activities, and a healthy snack before we head to Highlands Rec. Center for our swim program. Two days per week campers are transported to Laurelwood Park to explore and have lunch before swim lessons. Campers receive age-appropriate swim lessons from qualified instructors, followed by supervised recreational swim time—all under the watchful eyes of certified lifeguards. A Full Day of Fun: After swimming, the adventure continues back at our center for a healthy snack and an exciting lineup of activities that includes creative arts and crafts, outdoor games and exploration, organized sports, and quieter activities for those who need a breather. Parent's Night Out (PNO) is an opportunity for parents to enjoy dinner out, spend time with friends, take care of errands or chores, and even see a movie! Enjoy the evening while your children are having fun and cared for by Footsteps’ staff! The price listed is for Preschool Children, 2+, please select the additional fee under “extras” for infant & toddlers. PNO includes dinner, fun activities, and a movie. Children are welcome to bring Pajamas. Young children will have the option of going to bed. Electronics are allowed, but their use may be limited. Footsteps does not take responsibility for any loss or damage that may occur. PNO is subject to minimum enrollment requirements and may be cancelled if the minimum is not met.

Maker’s Week is all about hands-on exploration where children become inventors, artists, builders, and problem-solvers. Campers will dive into fun projects using everyday materials—crafting unique art, designing simple structures, experimenting with science, and bringing their ideas to life. Through guided activities, teamwork, and plenty of creativity, children will practice critical thinking and collaboration while discovering the joy of making. Maker’s Week encourages curiosity, confidence, and creativity—all in a fun and supportive environment for our youngest innovators. Special Event: Footsteps Maker Fair Campers will set up booths to showcase inventions, recycled creations, and STEM challenges. Families are invited Friday afternoon to visit the “Maker Fair” and see children’s projects.

Welcome to Camp Footsteps Adventurers! Footsteps Child Care, in partnership with the City of Belmont Parks and Recreation, is excited to offer nine weeks of summer camp designed specifically for older children and youth entering fourth grade through middle school. This summer, we are thrilled to feature specialized classes provided by Lando, including Advanced LEGO Robotics and Clay Studio Lab. Field Trip: Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk & Optional Overnight Camping Every day brings something new to discover, learn, and explore—making camp an unforgettable adventure! MONDAY kicks off the week with team-building activities that help campers connect and collaborate, plus Advanced LEGO Robotics (10am-12pm), where they will choose a robotics challenge, plan their build, and test it with real data. Using LEGO® bricks and Technic components (beams, axles, gears, motors, and sensors), they will tune for speed, lift, or control, log test results, and present how each modification improved their design. In the afternoon campers can participate in a group cooking project. TUESDAY features morning hikes through local trails followed by recreational swimming at the Carlmont High School pool. WEDNESDAY is field trip day, with exciting excursions designed for adventure and exploration. Campers will experience thrilling attractions, water activities, outdoor adventures, and even an overnight camping experience! Each trip offers opportunities to build friendships, try new activities, and create unforgettable summer memories. THURSDAY offers flexible morning time for activities and games, along with a trip to the Belmont Library, followed by recreational swim time in the afternoon. FRIDAY camp is closed for July 4th
