Looking for a part-time caregiver for our young adult son with autism in King of Prussia, PA. Ideal must meet all the requirements below; Male in good physical shape. Must have at least 3 years experience with autistic teens and have updated clearances. Subject is a 19-year-old moderately autistic male with a borderline IQ of 79. Not particularly violent or aggressive but extremely stubborn. I need someone strong enough to restrain him when he has his occasional meltdowns. He can: use the toilet, bath, dress, make own snacks, shave, and do other self care on his own. Is verbal but doesn't converse. Almost never wanders but does need constant supervision in public. He can use the men's room on his own. At home does his own thing but needs an adult present. Please apply only if you are confident and comfortable with doing this.
