Help needed for my loved one in their 70s with stage 5-6 dementia. He is mobile and able to feed/toilet himself at this point. Seeking part-time companion and hands-on care in ways described below. Desire two days a week for 3-5 hours to allow respite for primary care giver. Looking for someone to help with some meal prep and clean up, light housekeeping, conversation, activity prompting, companionship, and possible med administration. The home has two golden retrievers so need someone who is comfortable with pets. May use some of visit for dog walking with the loved one as a companion event. Preferences for a caregiver who is a non-smoker. The level of care may grow as loved one's health deteriorates. Thank you for your interest.
