About who needs care: We are looking for care for our parents. Our mother is 94 years old. She is in a wheelchair and needs help getting up, dressed, bathroom and bathing. Other than her lack of mobility and mild dementia she is in good health. Our father is 93 years old and in good health. He is diabetic, with some mobility issues due to a bad knee replacement years ago, but very sharp and active. He just recently stopped driving. My father loves to play cards and my mother loves to look at photos and visit with her children and grandchildren. Their ideal day would involve getting outside (even on the porch) to get some sunshine, have some visitors, and go out to lunch on Wednesdays. About the care needs: An outgoing personality would be good and able to deal with lots of people coming and going in the house. We would like to get my mother out more, so someone who likes to go places and have fun. The Sunday hours would involve taking them to church. They should be able to move our mother in/out of cars. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
