About who needs care: My mother is 91. She is mentally all there, and lots of fun. But physically she uses a walker and is slow to get around. She lives in healthcare community, has her own apartment. Her meals on the weekdays are provided. She recently had a fall and has finally agreed to some companionship 2 days a week. We definitely want one weekend day, and one day during the week (the day is flexible). Someone that can encourage, maybe even escort her on the museum trips etc they have. A person that can also make appointments for her hair and nails etc and driver her to those appointments, maybe get lunch out after. She loves to be out, even if she is physically on the slower side. Someone that can play cards with her and just be there. Someone tech savvy that speaks clearly, is fun, has lots of patience and is a young soul despite whatever age you may be. No cooking or cleaning is involved. Gas, any money spent would be reimbursed of course. We would pay for everything, we just want someone to be with her and take good care/be a good companion. She loves cards too! About the care needs: Someone fun, outgoing, patient, good sense of humor, responsible. Services needed include: transportation, and companionship.
