About who needs care: I have a spinal cord injury, full time wheelchair user. I need someone to come over early in the morning and make breakfast, help me transfer to my shower chair using a hoyer lift, and assist with shower/ bowel program in roll in shower. Then help dressing and transfer into my wheelchair to start my day. This entire process takes 2-3 hours. I am a lawyer and work full time. About the care needs: person should be coachable, and willing to try things different ways and learn on their feet. Flexibility, patience, and a good attitude are key. They will need to use a hoyer lift, help me with shower/bowel program, and dressing. I also need them to make a basic breakfast. Services needed include: meal preparation, light housekeeping, specialized bowel program, showering / dressing, and mobility assistance.
