About who needs care: My 71-year-old mother has been diagnosed with Dementia. She is not to the point of needing to be in a care facility, but the care taking is taking a toll on my father's health and we are looking for some assistance with personal care for her. She needs assistance remembering to take her medication, and daily hygiene. In an ideal world, there would be someone to come and assist with these tasks in the morning to give my dad some relief. She is a retired English teacher who has a a heart for crafts, though she is not interested in doing any of those hobbies anymore. Consistent companionship would be really great for her, as well. About the care needs: A female would probably be preferred for her, in helping with the personal hygiene needs. Anyone who may have a passion for theatre or music could be a nice fit for her, conversation about those passions help her to hold a conversation. Services needed include: feeding, and bathing / dressing.
