About who needs care: I am having a partial kidney removal surgery and I will need someone to help me with personal needs (like getting up, some help with getting in and out of shower, etc), meal prep, help me keep track of medication times and doses, light household work. I have two, nice teenage sons who live with me, who are capable helpers, but I dont want them to have to help me in the shower, for example. A person could come and go if they are local. I dont think I need someone here constantly, I dont think. About the care needs: I would prefer a female caregiver. No specialized skills, but experienced with caring for someone post-op, comfortable with helping with things involved in post-op, and can do some simple cooking and tidying up. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, and bathing / dressing.
