My father has moderate-severe dementia and we're looking for a caregiver to help with feeding, bathing, dressing, companionship and with keeping him physically and mentally active. The ideal caregiver would be someone who likes to talk and can encourage him to speak more (he speaks both English and Mandarin Chinese but rarely speaks on his own anymore), someone who can help with simple stretching and range of motion exercises (we have a book of exercises to follow), someone who can help him take walks in the neighborhood, and someone who has some ability to play ping pong (an activity he enjoys and is still able to do somewhat), . Help with transportation a plus. Primarily looking for weekend care but also providing part-time care for weekdays occasionally a possibility. Thank you.
