About who needs care: Recovering from a stroke. Possibly being discharged from her inpatient rehabilitation facility this week. She watches a lot of true crime type TV, before her stroke she read a lot, and is a homebody. She would need assistance with preparing meals, as she is not yet able to use a microwave or stove, and possibly some help with moving around the home/to the restroom.
About the care needs: An ideal caregiver won't treat her like an invalid/baby talk her, but won't be rough and bossy with her. She is a very sensitive person, and would likely do well with someone who will encourage her and remind her how good she is doing in her improvements. No special skills are needed, just the ability to be there with her to help adjust her in her bed to get comfortable as she has not yet gained full use of her dominant hand, help her with preparing food, daily tasks of living kind of stuff.
Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
