About who needs care: Stage 4/5 Parkinson's Disease with Dementia starting. He has difficulty seeing and feeding himself due to his vision. Also very stubborn and resistant to help, but will accept it eventually. About the care needs: Someone kind and patient is a good fit. He loves music, especially rock, reggae, and jazz, so if they can discuss those interests it would be great, but is not a requirement. In his more fit days he loved hiking and photography also. His home has 2 dogs and 2 cats, so the person should be a pet lover. He also is very attached and has a hard time letting things go when they might be useful. Having someone who is patient and willing to go through his collections and help him purge anything he is ready to get rid of would also be a great help. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
