I'm looking for hands-on care for myself. I'm in my 50s. I'm a C5/6 Quadriplegic. I need help getting up. I need someone to change my external catheter daily, put on my socks, underwear, and pants or shorts, and transfer me into my wheelchair. My current aide transfers me by himself, but I also have a transfer board. After getting up, you will situate me correctly, stretch my feet and put on my shoes. We then go into the bathroom and wash my chest, back, underarms and hands. I then wash my face while you make the bed. You then wash my hair in the sink, comb it, and put deodorant on me. Then we will put a shirt and maybe a sweatshirt on, my watch and phone and were done in the bedroom. We then go to the kitchen where you get me a cup of coffee and lay out the newspaper. In all, it takes 1 hour to complete. Good for a second job.
